Bottled Water Industry Continues To Expand Rapidly With The Launch Of New Products Every Week Across The Globe
Bottled water |
Bottled water is a
convenient way to consume clean, healthy water. Bottled water comes in various
sizes, from single serving bottles to carboys for water coolers. The
convenience and affordability of bottled products make them a great choice for
a variety of applications. However, when it comes to hydration, tap or filtered
is always the best option. Along with being more environmentally
friendly, bottled drinking waters contain no additives or preservatives.
Although tap water is not
regulated by the FDA, bottled water is. This means that its quality is
regulated by the province where it is produced. Other than regulating bottled
drinking water, the FDA monitors bottled-water plant design, bottling
processes, and record-keeping. Moreover, some provinces require companies to
obtain a license from the FDA every year. For this reason, consumers should
check if the water they are buying meets federal standards for safety.
According to the Beverage Marketing Corporation, more Americans are drinking Bottled
Water than any other packaged beverage. As a matter of fact, this is
an encouraging development, as soda and other carbonated drinks have been
declining for more than a decade. This has led industry watchers to predict
that bottled water will be the next big thing in the beverage industry.
The industry of bottled
water is expanding rapidly, and new products are launched every week. With the
usual flavored waters, there are now even natural and sparkling waters. These
new bottled beverages aren't just for the health conscious - they are also good
for the environment. They are free of calories, sugar, and fat, and are a
healthy alternative for the health-conscious. There are many different types of
bottled water. Some are spring-water, mineral-water, and other types. The most
common kind of bottled water is water from underground sources. Springs are
naturally high in minerals, while mineral-water is extracted from a well.
Neither type contains chlorine, nor does it contain any artificial additives.
While mineral-water may be safer, it is still not as filtered as spring-water.
In June 2021, Suntory Group revealed that the company is implementing a new
Internet of Things (IoT) system at its bottled water plant in Nagono Prefecture
in Japan, for speeding-up troubleshooting procedures at the plant.
